Who Foxhole Is
The Foxhole Veterans Charity Foundation is a Michigan 501(c)(3) whose motto is “Veterans Supporting Veterans.” Foxhole helps veterans navigate the transition out of military service through martial arts, peer support, and crisis management. The training is the gateway; the community is the point.
Foxhole also runs the annual “Still in the Fight” Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
How It Works
01
Show up Sunday at 11 AM. Nothing to book, nothing to pay.
02
Train free alongside fellow veterans, at whatever pace you are starting from.
03
Plug into the Foxhole community, on and off the mats.
The Sunday Session
Still in the Fight
Foxhole runs an annual jiu-jitsu championship called Still in the Fight, where veterans from across the partner gyms compete on the same mats they train on. It is the clearest picture of what the Sunday sessions build toward, and spectators are as welcome as competitors.
Foxhole Across the Network
Foxhole trains at several of our affiliate gyms as well, so a veteran who moves across the state stays inside the same network.
Support Foxhole
Foxhole runs on volunteers and donations. Both links go to their site.
Common Questions
Do I need any experience?
No. Most veterans who walk in on a Sunday have never trained before. You will be paired with someone who has, and nobody is thrown in at the deep end.
Is it really free?
Yes — the Sunday 11 AM session is free for veterans, with no membership and no sign-up fee.
How do I get started?
Turn up on a Sunday a few minutes before 11 AM in a t-shirt and shorts. If you would rather speak to someone first, call the gym or book a free trial and mention that you are a veteran.
